Arts festival to return after a five-year gap

THE GREYSTONES Arts Festival will be back in Greystones this summer after a five-year absence.

The festival will take place from May 31 to June 3 and promises to be an eclectic weekend including workshops, theatre, music, comedy and more.

The event will be held as part of The Gathering, so everybody in Greystones is asked to invite their contacts from abroad and celebrate the community and family weekend.

A team has been put together to coo-rdinate the festival, which will include stilt walking, samba drumming, a street parade, flash mob and shows from all over Ireland and Europe.

The workshops and shows will be on all over the town: cafes, parks, the streets and the harbour.

Restaurants will offer festival discounts and there will be markets and other treats in store throughout the weekend.
