CEO of Wright Insurance, Tony Wright, took the view that the timing was right for significant investment in the market, and as a result he has assembled a dedicated and committed team of leading industry experts who share the same vision.

The group has been rapidly expanding by acquisition of brokerages and since April 1, 2012, the company has made the following Irish acquisitions: Barry O'Leary Insurances Limited McHugh O'Leary Insurance Brokers Limited, Carlow
McHugh O'Leary Insurances (Bagenalstown) Limited;
and also acquired two significant books of business:
The Haulage Book of Business from Arachas Corporate Brokers Ltd
The Commercial and Equestrian Book from Culleton Insurances Ltd
The company is a national market leader in a number of sectors and services a wide variety of large corporate and SME businesses. The services provided range from corporate captive structures to personal lines for individ- uals.
A new specialist commercial division has been established in Wexford town, employing 20 staff initially, with a further 20 positions expected over the next two years. This new division handles the substantial Haulage and Transport portfolio which was recently acquired.
The company’s primary focus is on business to business insurance solutions, with particular expertise in the agricultural sector servicing farmer’s merchants, farm machinery suppliers and all other suppliers to the agri sector. The company has access to insurers specialising in pubs, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and also offers competitively rated scheme policies exclusive to Wright Group for haulage, courier and personal accident.
