Services of Worship for this Sunday - The Second Sunday after the Epiphany: Services for this Sunday are 8.30am Holy Communion, 11am Holy Communion l, and 7pm Compline - Lector Sarah Campbell.

The January Book Club: The Club will be reading two books for the January 2013 meeting - ' Tigers in Red Weather ' by Liza Klaussman or ' The Housemaid's Daughter ' by Barbara Mutch. ST. ANNE'S PARISH

Times of Masses: Mass is celebrated in St. Anne's Church at 10am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday, (except during July & August). Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30pm Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8am, (9am in St. Patrick's Church in St. Columcille's Hospital), 10.30am (Family Mass), 12 Noon, and 6pm. Confession­s are heard on Saturdays after the 10am Mass, between 12.30pm and 1pm and after the 6.30pm Mass.

St Anne's Parish January Pastoral Council Meeting: Last Monday night the January meeting of the St. Anne's PPC took place at 8pm in St. Anne's Resource Centre. The St. Anne's PPC can be contacted via the Parish Office in St. Anne's Resource Centre.

Pallottine Mission Collection: This weekend the annual church door collection for the Pallotine Missions will be taken after all this weekend's Masses.

Faith Friends Training: Tomorrow (Thursday) training for session 3 and 4 of Faith Friends will take place at 8.15pm in St. Anne's Resource Centre.

The third session of Faith Friends for the Confirmati­on will be held on Thursday January 24th.

Confirmati­on Meeting: A Confirmati­on meeting for all parents will be held on Tuesday January 29th in the Church.

Monthly meetings, except during the summer months break, for the coming season of the Shankill I.C.A. Guild. take place on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7.30pm in St. Anne's Resource Centre. New members welcome - contact Ms. Betty Murray at 2820069. Next Monday night the January meeting will take place there at 8pm. BOOK SALE

The February First Saturday Book Sale , which supports the Shankill Old Folks Associatio­n and Meals on Wheels, will take place in the Shankill Old Folks Associatio­n Centre between 10am and 1pm on Saturday February 2nd.

So make a point of calling in sometime that morning as you never know what you might find as there is always a fantastic array of reading material on offer at bargain prices. Donations of books, other than school / textbooks, welcome and appreciate­d. HISTORICAL SOCIETY

On Wednesday February 6th Tom Moran will present his lecture 'The Irish Cottage ' at 8pm to the Rathmichae­l Historical Society in Rathmichae­l School, Stonebridg­e Road (Dublin Road end), Shankill, Co. Dublin - all welcome. Members of the Society are reminded that annual membership subscripti­ons fell due for renewal on January 1st and can be renewed at this meeting. The Tidy Towns Calendars are now on sale in St. Anne's Resource Centre for €8 each or two or more at €7.50 each. Thank you to all those who submitted photos. This calendar makes a great gift aide to send to family and friends.

All the proceeds from the calendar go towards improvemen­t projects carried out by the Shankill Tidy Towns, working with the community that Shankill remains a great place in which to live, work and visit.
