The Annual Enniskerry I.C.A Party for Senior Citizens will be held this Saturday 19th January in the Parochial Hall Enniskerry Village across from the Town Clock at 3.00 pm. All senior Citizens are cordially invited. TRAINING

Enniskerry GAA Junior Footballer­s are out in force training under the guidance of Stephen King for the forthcomin­g GAA season , the numbers are increasing all the time and more would be welcome to attend at the Club Ground in Pairc na Sillogue on Monday , Wednesday or Friday nights if you are new in the Area just come along you will be made welcome Failte Isteach. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: This year's Week runs from Friday night to Friday January 25th . Enniskerry will mark this year's Week with an exchange of pulpits this weekend. Archdeacon Ricky Roundtree will preach on Saturday at Saturday's 7pm Mass in St. Mary's Church while on Sunday morning Fr. Last Thursday night Brian White, Chairperso­n of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, was the guest speaker for the January meeting of the Enniskerry History Society. Brian White, presented his lecture 'Some Discoverie­s in Enniskerry and Some Other Interestin­g Stories About Enniskerry' which was opening lecture in the Enniskerry History Society's Spring 2013 programme.

The following are details of the Enniskerry History Society 2013 Spring Programme of lectures, all of which will take place at 8.30pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the Powerscour­t Arms Hotel.

Thursday February 14th : 'After the Ball Was Over: The last days of the Anglo-Irish Ascendancy' (Frank Tracey); Thursday March 14th - ' Christmas in Wicklow 100 Years Ago (1912)' ( James Scannell); Thursday April 11th - ' The Poor Harvest and Bad Winter 1947 ' (Padraig Laffan) ; Thursday May 9th - ' The Remarkable Story of S.L.T. L.T. E.J. A Bourke' (Cyril Dunne). All welcome to attend these lectures - admission to each lecture €3.
