Entries sought for indoor tournament

CALLING all Wicklow hurling clubs. Expression of interest is sought from hurling clubs to enter an U-12 and U-14 indoor hurling tournament in Castletown Co Wexford during February. This will be 11-a-side indoor ground hurling only. Entry fee is €100 per team.

Coaches Required for 2013 Academy Squads

Wicklow GAA are currently recruiting volunteer coaches to work with our underage county development squads in both hurling and football.

This is a great opportunity to become involved in the development of our future inter county footballers and hurlers.

If your club has any experienced coach with coaching qualifications who would be interested in coaching or helping out with any of our academy squads in hurling or football during 2013 please contact Hugh Kenny at the above number or email address.

County U-15 football trials

The county U-15 football trials will take place on Saturday Janurary 19. Trials will take place in Laragh at 11am.

Can clubs please inform all players of these trials?

A further trial will take place the following Saturday details to be announced.

Please note the players must be born in 1998 and on be their final year playing at U-15 Level. It is very important that all clubs send their best players as this is a new squad the county are preparing for 2013.

Please note that mouth guards must be worn by all players.

First Bord na nOg Meeting of 2013

The first meeting of Bord na nOg will take place at the county buildings Aughrim on Thursday January 24 at 8pm.

All clubs are asked to make sure that their delegates are in attendance.
