SCT CUP CAMPAIGN
Our SCT got their campaign in the Vinny Murray Cup off to a winning start recently with a well deserved win against Templeogue College. Last Thursday we played Skerries Community College in Suttonians RFC in our second round tie. In tuff wintry conditions we came through the fixture on a favourable score line. Our next fixture is the semi-final of the Vinny Murray Cup against Mount Temple on Tuesday 22nd January in Blackrock RFC at 2.30pm.
YOUNG SCIENTIST EXHIBITION
Our entry this year to the BT Young Scientist Exhibition came from 2nd Year student William Moore. William is participated in the Exhibition last week with his project entitled, *'Weight Distance and Energy used from a running shoe - to an iPhone app'*. His project measures a person's weight using piezo-electric devices embedded in a running shoe, which can then be used to calculate distance travelled and provide data on energy expended during exercise.
