YOUNG SCIENTISTS' EXHIBITION

On Friday 11th January, Ms. Lannin organised a T.Y. trip to the B.T Young Scientists' Exhibition which was held in the RDS. There were over 450 exhibitions on show and those visiting could ask questions of the exhibitors about the projects they produced. St. Kilian's students found the exhibition to be fascinating. The standard of the exhibits on show was very high and all the exhibitors and their teachers deserve great credit for the hard work in producing such projects. Everyone enjoyed the day and hopefully it has inspired some of the St. Kilian's students to become interested in the workings of science in the future. NEW CHAPLAIN

Everyone in St. Kilian's would like to welcome Ms. Roseanne Synnott to the school and offer congratulations on her appointment as the school's chaplain. Ms. Synnott began her employment in St. Kilian's this week and we wish her luck and success in her new post. FIRST YEAR PARENT-TEACHER

Thanks to everybody who attended the First Year parent-teacher meeting which was held on Tuesday 22nd January. The meeting was well attended and offered parents valuable feedback about how their children have settled into life in St. Kilian's. U-17 BOYS' SOCCER

Best wishes are extended to Mr. Donohue's U-17 boys' soccer squad who are scheduled to play New Ross CBS in the semi-final of the Wicklow-Wexford league on the 23rd January. The team are as yet unbeaten this season, but a tough match is expected in the semi-final against their opponents from Wexford.
