Pancake Day raised ¤1,407

BRAY Cancer Sup­port Cen­tre re­ceived a do­na­tion of €1,407 last week, thanks to a Pancake Tues­day event held at The Martello.

John Dug­gan and Rachel McCoy from The Martello pre­sented a cheque to Ser­ena Kilkenny and Conor O’Leary of Bray Cancer Sup­port.

The money was raised ear­lier in the month on Pancake Tues­day when cus­tomers paid €5 for cof­fee and pan­cakes with all pro­ceeds go­ing to the lo­cal char­ity.

‘We were stuffed,' said a spokesman for Bray Cancer Sup­port. ‘ Thank you to ev­ery­one who sup­ported a great morn­ing. Thanks also to John Dug­gan and all his staff for an­other won­der­ful event.'

The ser­vice is lo­cated on Bray's Par­nell Road and pro­vides a range of ser­vices for those suf­fer­ing from cancer and their fam­i­lies, as well as people who are be­reaved.
