Pancake Day raised ¤1,407

-

BRAY Cancer Support Centre received a donation of €1,407 last week, thanks to a Pancake Tuesday event held at The Martello.

John Duggan and Rachel McCoy from The Martello presented a cheque to Serena Kilkenny and Conor O’Leary of Bray Cancer Support.

The money was raised earlier in the month on Pancake Tuesday when customers paid €5 for coffee and pancakes with all proceeds going to the local charity.

‘We were stuffed,' said a spokesman for Bray Cancer Support. ‘ Thank you to everyone who supported a great morning. Thanks also to John Duggan and all his staff for another wonderful event.'

The service is located on Bray's Parnell Road and provides a range of services for those suffering from cancer and their families, as well as people who are bereaved.
