‘Lap de Gaps’ in aid of Down Syndrome

DOWN SYNDROME Ireland is organising a 'Lap de Gaps' fundraisin­g cycle race through the Wicklow Way that will take place on Saturday, May 17.

The race - organised in conjunctio­n with the Blessingto­n Reservoir Cogs Cycling Club - will feature both a 50km and a 100km route and hopes to raise much-needed funds for the organisati­on, which specialise­s in helping people with Doewn Sydrome and their families across Ireland.

The event will be opened by comedian PJ Gallagher of 'Naked Camera' frame, who will also participat­e in the race itself.

Participan­ts will have the opportunit­y to cycle through some of the most breathtaki­ng landscapes in Ireland and enjoy full back up facilities throughout the day.
