‘Lap de Gaps’ in aid of Down Syndrome
DOWN SYNDROME Ireland is organising a 'Lap de Gaps' fundraising cycle race through the Wicklow Way that will take place on Saturday, May 17.
The race - organised in conjunction with the Blessington Reservoir Cogs Cycling Club - will feature both a 50km and a 100km route and hopes to raise much-needed funds for the organisation, which specialises in helping people with Doewn Sydrome and their families across Ireland.
The event will be opened by comedian PJ Gallagher of 'Naked Camera' frame, who will also participate in the race itself.
Participants will have the opportunity to cycle through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Ireland and enjoy full back up facilities throughout the day.
Anyone interested in registering for the race can do so at www.cycle4dsi.ie.
