Three from three for Bray Emmets

WITH TWO wins from two Bray Emmets welcomed Confey of Kildare to Emmet Park last Monday.

It was a winner takes all game as the victors would progress to the knock out stages so the contest was keen from the start.

It was a close games with teams trading points in the opening 20 minutess, but a fortunate long range free dropped under the bar for the Bray men and another good goal from Mikey Lee gave Bray a healthy cushion at half time 2-7 to 6 points.

Bray were quick out of the blocks again in the second half winning the early exchanges and a goal from Tom Cash effectively put the tie beyond Confey.

The Kildare side never gave up and kept tacking on scrores but in this case, it was goals that win games with Bray running out winners 3-12 to 10pts.

Bray now meet Wicklow rivals Carnew in the semi-final of the competition set for April 9 in Bray.
