This week is Lit­er­acy Aware­ness Week at Coláiste Chraobh Ab­hann. Our school has a con­tin­ued com­mit­ment to en­hanc­ing the lev­els of lit­er­acy and nu­mer­acy of our stu­dents, across all cur­ric­u­lar ar­eas. As part of the week, stu­dents will be chal­lenged by daily nu­mer­acy tasks and quizzes, and en­cour­aged to de­velop their aware­ness of lit­er­acy and nu­mer­acy as key life skills. Coláiste Chraobh Ab­hann strongly sup­ports the na­tional goals of in­creased the lit­er­acy and nu­mer­acy lev­els of Ir­ish stu­dents. PRAC­TI­CAL EX­AMS

Best wishes to the third year Home Eco­nom­ics stu­dents who are com­plet­ing their prac­ti­cal cook­ery exam this week. Lots of time has been spent per­fect­ing their culi­nary skills and we wish them well. IR­ISH ORAL EX­AMS

Go n-éirí go geal le daltaí na séú bliana sna béal­tri­alacha an tseach­tain seo. Good luck to the sixth year stu­dents who are sit­ting their Ir­ish oral exam this week. Stu­dents have been busy prac­tis­ing their Gaeilge for this im­por­tant exam, which is worth 40% of their fi­nal grade. CAMO­GIE
