SENIOR DEBATING TEAM.

On Monday March 24th, the senior debating teams from Loreto Seconday School and St. Gerard's Secondary School met in St. Gerard's to take part in the semi-final of the Bray Lions Club Debate. The motion was “Overseas Aid does more harm than good”. Loreto were proposing the motion, while St. Gerard's oppossed.

The Loreto team of Aoife Clarkin, Grace Curham, Jessica Conway, Emily-Jane Cunningham, Clare-Ann Bourke and captain, Sophie Connolly were narrowly defeated by St. Gerards, who now go onto face Presentati­on College in the Lions Club Debate Final.

Badminton: Senior team qualified for the final of “The Creme Egg Cup”

Rugby: The girls took part in a blitz in Donnybrook where they met Ireland manager Joe Schmidt, and Irish womens rugby player Sophie Spence. Its was a great day out for all participan­ts and is great to see the sport taking off.

Soccer: The senior cup semi final will take place next week against Ashbourne.

Hockey: Last Friday our 1st years came second in the Loreto League Blitz.
