On Mon­day March 24th, the se­nior de­bat­ing teams from Loreto Se­con­day School and St. Ger­ard's Sec­ondary School met in St. Ger­ard's to take part in the semi-fi­nal of the Bray Lions Club De­bate. The mo­tion was “Over­seas Aid does more harm than good”. Loreto were propos­ing the mo­tion, while St. Ger­ard's op­possed.

The Loreto team of Aoife Clarkin, Grace Curham, Jes­sica Con­way, Emily-Jane Cunningham, Clare-Ann Bourke and cap­tain, Sophie Con­nolly were nar­rowly de­feated by St. Gerards, who now go onto face Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege in the Lions Club De­bate Fi­nal.


Bad­minton: Se­nior team qual­i­fied for the fi­nal of “The Creme Egg Cup”

Rugby: The girls took part in a blitz in Don­ny­brook where they met Ire­land man­ager Joe Sch­midt, and Ir­ish wom­ens rugby player Sophie Spence. Its was a great day out for all par­tic­i­pants and is great to see the sport tak­ing off.

Soc­cer: The se­nior cup semi fi­nal will take place next week against Ash­bourne.

Hockey: Last Fri­day our 1st years came sec­ond in the Loreto League Blitz.
