Post Confirmati­on Group: Meets on Sunday in the choir stalls after the 11am service. This is open to anyone who has been confirmed in the past few years.

Mid-Week Lenten Communion: Today (Wednesday) at 11am.

Parish Super & Karaoke Evening: This will take place on Saturday evening at 7pm for 7.30pm in St. Andrew's National School, Ages 15 and over. Cost is €10 per person which includes Supper and a glass of wine. All very welcome.

THE SSAFA Sale: This will take place on Thursday April 10th from 10.30am to 1pm in The Grainstore, Kilruddery House, Bray, by kind permission of Lord and Lady Ardee. Entrance fee per adult €6 - children and car parking free. Free tea and coffee in The Grainstore. Stalls include white elephant, raffle, cakes, plants, jewellery, tombola, clothes, plants, books, delicatess­en, woodturnin­g, country produce. Church Gate Collection­s: The Dublin Diocesan Children's Pilgrimage to Lourdes collection amounted to €2475 -thank you again for your generosity.

The Cystic Fibrosis Associatio­n would like to thank everyone for their generosity recently - their church gate collection amounted to €997.

Lourdes 2014 - 7th to 12th September: The parish will again join the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in September. The fully inclusive price is €707pps. Booking forms are available in the sacristy or at the Parish Office - return the form with a deposit of €100 to secure a place.

Hi-Rez Youth Centre: It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Dermot O'Brien, our Youth Developmen­t Offi- cer, is leaving us after 5 and a half years of excellent service. It in Holy Redeemer Parish that Dermot was first inspired to become involved in working with young people.

Since his arrival, he took on the challenge of managing and developing our parish youth centre, Hi-Rez, an achievemen­t he can rightly reflect on with a deep sense of pride. Over these years, Dermot has developed relationsh­ips with our young people and has shared the wonderful positivity they have all brought to Hi-Rez since it's beginning. Under his leadership, our parish youth centre and our young people have rightly received many accolades from near and far.

Dermot will be with us until April 20th and will continue his involvemen­t with Celtic Youth in the Little Flower Hall. We would like to take this opportunit­y to wish Dermot every blessing and success in his future endeavors and to sincerely thank him for his achievemen­ts and dedication to Hi-Rez Youth Centre. Early Morning Mass during Lent: In addition to the normal weekday Mass times in St. Fergal's, St. Peter's, Holy Redeemer, Queen of Peace & St. Mary's Enniskerry, Mass will be celebrated at 7.30am Monday to Friday in St. Fergal's during Lent, beginning Ash Wednesday March 5th and concluding on Wednesday 16th April.

St. Vincent de Paul April Collection: In view of the Advocate Collection on the weekend of 12th /13th April, there will be no collection for the St. Clare's Conference of St. Vincent de Paul for the month of April. Thank you for your support.

Parish Trip to Bucharest: Final Meeting takes place on Wednesday 30th April at 7.00p.m. in the Church. A representa­tive from Marathon Travel & the tour guide, who is from Bucharest, will answer any questions you may have regarding the trip.

Annual Mass for the Sick for the Bray and Enniskerry Pastoral Area this Sunday: The Bray and Enniskerry parishes extend a cordial invitation to all, especially the sick and the elderly to attend a Mass and Anointing of the Sick this Sunday at 3pm in this church.

Last swimming pool night for the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club members was enjoyed by 48 boys and girls. Next sessions will begin in November. April events will include officers training weekend, Dargle Valley night walk, girls beautician evening, and boys camp out night. Club boathouse on the seafront will be decorated within the next few weeks before the weekly water sports begin. New leaders are required. Interested persons may call Albert on 087 6756439. Bray Divers have organised the first pool training class for four Senior Snorkelers, eleven Junior Snorkelers, and the second class for five Snorkel Guides. Some of them have already commenced sea training, and hopefully testing will occur at Easter. The club is preparing for the official opening of the diving season at Hook head at Eastertime. Last Monday night Brian White, Chairman of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, was the guest speaker for the March 8pm meeting of Chairman the Clondalkin Historical Society in Aras Cronain, Waterly Lane, Clondalkin, at which presented his lecture on ‘ The Shamrock Fund of WW1', an outline of which was published in this paper last week.

Members of the Bray Cualann Historical Society have been to attend this Saturday's Dublin City Library and Archive Family History which runs from 10am to 4pm covering a variety of genealogic­al subjects.

Members also have invited to attend tonight's (Wednesday) 8pm meeting of the Rathmichae­l Historical Society in Rathmichae­l School, Stonebridg­e Road, Shankill, at which Patricia Butler will present her lecture ' Wicklow Through the Artist's Eye '.

During April the Bray Cualann Historical Society will hold two events - On Wednesday April 16th James Scannell will present a lecture recalling ' Easter in Bray 100 Years Ago (1914) ' in Bray Library, Eglinton Road, at 11.30am. Admission free.

The April meeting of the Society will take place on Thursday April 24th, and not Thursday April 17 , which is Holy Thursday, at 8pm in the Bray Chamber of Commerce House 10 Prince of Wales Tce, Quinsboro Road, Bray, at which James Scannell will present his lecture ' Saving the Drowning Sailors - the MV Kerlogue Bay of Biscay 1943 Rescue '.
