GAA training is back on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm. All new members are welcome.

North Wicklow Country Market will be open every Saturday from 10.30 - 12.30pm in the Community Centre, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow. All produce home made or home grown - no air miles, and all our kitchens are HSE approved. Come long and support the local community. TRANSFORMA­TION FITNESS

Colm Yeoman runs a fitness club at the GAA club every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. Well done to all the girls and lads who completed the doomsday challenge on Saturday 29th, all in record times. They're was some stiff and sore bodies the next day, but a great day was had by all. Colly Yeoman has promised to treat all his ladies to a drink some night soon. Well done Girls. THE CASTLE INN

Johnny Cash tribute band ‘The Northstar Riders’ play upstairs in the Castle Inn on 5th April. The show starts at 10pm and entry is a mere €5. RESIDENTS ASSOCIATIO­N

The next Residents associatio­n meeting will be held on Monday 7th April, at 8.30pm in the community centre. All are welcome to attend. TIDY TOWNS CLEAN UP

The first tidy towns clean up takes place on Saturday 5th April from 10am till 1pm. Everyone is welcome, adults, children, toddlers and pets. Let us all be part of making this village the best in Wicklow. DRAMA SEMI FINALS

The National Drama Semi Finals will be hosted by Wicklow Macra na Feirme on 5th/6th April in Glenealy Hall at 7.30pm. Six plays will take to the stage over the two nights featuring casts from Cork, Kilkenny, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow. It promises to be a fantastic weekend's entertainm­ent and tickets are priced very competitiv­ely at €5 per night so please spread the word and help us fill some seats! NOTES
