Cubs take to the Star Show stage

ACTORS PERFORM TWO PLAYS BRILLIANTLY

-

LAST WEEK, some of the Kilmacanogue Cubs took to the stage to perform in the Star Scout Show held in St. Patrick’s College in Drumcondra.

They put on two plays between them (The Babies) and (Men at Work) and had to play their parts three times, on Saturday afternoon and evening and then again on Sunday afternoon.

There was a bit of a commotion caused for the Saturday evening show when the group brought along 50-plus supporters for the Cubs and the parents and families of the actors, and even Jimmy Davis turned up in the place of the late Angela Donnelly, a great supporter of these cubs over the years.

The actors that performed brilliantly over the three shows included; Amy Condon, Sinéad Doyle, Katie Greene, Róisin Hayword, Jack Hunt, Luke Kelly, Sam Morgan, Sam Mulvihill, Ella O'Sullivan, Hannah Hinde, Emma Prendergast, Brian Woods, Cathal and Rian Philips. They were kindly supported by one of the scouts, Cian Pearse, on the Sunday when the group was down an actor which was much appreciated.

Many thanks must go to leader Margaret Sutton for putting the cubs (and Cian) through their paces in the weeks prior to the shows and to all the leaders that helped out over the weekend, both in at the show and to those that got the troops there for the shows.

Well done to you all.
