Public meeting to discuss future of retail in Bray
A PUBLIC meeting will be held on Wednesday April 16 at 10 a.m at the Wilton Hotel to discuss the future of retail in Bray.
‘With the recent purchase of the Florentine Centre by the town council and the upgrade of the Streetscape in the town, Bray has an opportunity to improve its retail mix,’ said Cllr. John Ryan who is organising the event along with Cllr. Mick Glynn and Cllr. Sarah Wray.
With this in mind Bray Fine Gael are holding a public meeting to discuss the best approach to attracting top retailers to the town.
The meeting will be addressed by the CEO of retail excellence Ireland David Fitzsimons. Retail excellence has been working with local authorities and other stakeholders in towns throughout the country to launch town teams.
‘The role of a local town team is to implement shopping centre management principles in towns,’ explained Cllr. Ryan.
This in turn aims to drive occupancy, improve town standards and increase the local citizen’s engagement with their civic space.
