Students clean up town

-

A GROUP of Transition Year students from Greystones rolled up their sleeves and helped clean up their town last week.

The St. David’s pupils joined volunteers from the local Tidy Towns group for a clean up at the south beach.

They picked up rubbish along the south beach dog walk and were a great help.

‘A big thank you to the students for coming out working with our volunteers,’ said David O’Reilly from Tidy Towns. ‘We have been running this programme for a number of years,’ he said. ‘As always the students get stuck in with energy, enthusiasm, good cheer and fun.’

He added that many people stopped as they were passing to give their thanks and encouragement to the young volunteers.

If anyone can spare a few hours per month to help out send an email to info@greystonestidytowns.ie.
