Remembering tragic Kurt

THE 20th anniversary of tortured grunge-god Kurt Cobain took place on April 8 and some local musicians will pay tribute to the Nirvana frontman in Greystones next week.

Legends Live presents ‘Remembering Kurt Cobain,’ at the Hotspot Cafe on Friday April 18 at 9 p.m.

The musician died at his Seattle home from a self- inflicted gunshot wound.

He became a member of the so-called ‘27 Club’ of stars to die at that age, including Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and now Amy Winehouse.

Admission for they Greystones tribute night is €8, to see musicians including the Meakins plus guests.
