Free tests for Hearing week

-

AS PART of Hearing Awareness Week, the Hidden Hearing clinic in Bray will host ‘Walk-in Wednesday’ today, April 9.

They will offer a free drop in service where members of the public can call in to talk to Hidden Hearing’s qualified audiologists or avail of a free hearing screening and a trial of the latest invisible hearing aids.

Hidden Hearing will also be offering 20 per cent off on the day.

A survey they carried out found that almost a quarter of people under 25 in Ireland (24 per cent) are putting their hearing at risk by listening to music at levels that cause long term harm.

The average noise level on devices was 75 decibels and people said they listened to music for over two hours per day.

Conducted by Behaviour and Attitudes, the survey was carried out for Hearing Awareness Week, which is running until this Friday.
