The Big Bang Theory, E4, Thursday 8pm

The new series continues of this American comedy on E4. The new ‘Friends’, the sitcom seems to be on at any time of day or night at present. The cast of characters includes room mates Dr. Leonard Hofstadter and Dr. Sheldon Cooper, their neighbour Penny and colleagues, Howard Wolowitz and Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali and centres on their apartments, the university canteen or the cheesecake factory where Penny is a waitress, as well as comic book store. Like all great American sit-coms the characters are brilliant and the writing knits it all together.
