Michael 'Psy­chy' O'Neill clinched the Easter League ti­tle with a fan­tas­tic round of 44pts in the play off fi­nal over the weekend.

Well done Michael, this years league was very tight and the play off added an ex­tra di­men­sion to it. Thanks to ev­ery one who sup­ported the League!

Michael Howard won the Gun Club Tro­phy, the long­est played com­pe­ti­tion in the Club, this weekend with a very con­sis­tent round of 4 up. Joe Fa­gan and Conor Man­ning with scores of three up fin­ished sec­ond and third re­spec­tively.

Sur­vey Re­sults - The Men's Sec­tion Com­mit­tee held a two ques­tion sur­vey last weekend.

The two ques­tions were - For the Easter League we ex­per­i­mented by start­ing on the 17th tee-box.

To fa­cil­i­tate mem­bers who are un­able to play on a Satur­day or Sun­day in the Easter League, play­ers were al­lowed play in the com­pe­ti­tion on a Fri­day.

Club Match play's - The en­try sheets have been posted on the no­tice board in the men's locker room.

The Mitchell Cup, the club sin­gles match play, has been played for since 1938. The cup was do­nated to the club by one of our found­ing mem­bers Col. C.C. Mitchell.

Last year's win­ners of 'The Jar­lath Hughes Me­mo­rial Cup', the club four ball, Stephen Greene and Brian O'Hara, will prove to be very tough op­po­si­tion for any pair who are drawn against them, as they will be try­ing their very best to re­tain their crown this year.

As most of the in­ter club com­pe­ti­tions run by the G.U.I. are four­somes com­pe­ti­tions, the Club Scotch Four­somes will run along­side the sin­gles and four ball com­pe­ti­tions.

Tom O'Neill PGA Pro­fes­sional - Ju­nior coach­ing continues ev­ery Satur­day. Tom is also run­ning an Easter Camp over three days at a cost of €50. For fur­ther de­tails con­tact Tom on 087 7622125.

A big thank you to all those in­volved in the “Spring into Sum­mer” Fash­ion Show which was held last Fri­day, April 4.

It was a fab­u­lous evening of fash­ion and fun. Many thanks to the or­gan­is­ers who put in such hard work to get the show off the ground and also to all those who at­tended or sup­ported the show in any way. Thanks also go to all the shops who took part and to all the mod­els who did such a won­der­ful job on the night.

Golf Lessons for Girls: These lessons are for girls aged be­tween 10 and 18 years.

They are avail­able to mem­bers and non-mem­bers and to girls with or with­out pre­vi­ous golf ex­pe­ri­ence.

The lessons will com­mence on Tues­day, April 29 and fin­ish on Thurs­day, May 29. They will be held twice weekly on Tues­day and Thurs­day evenings at 6.00p.m. over five weeks.
