Karaoke night re­alises €1,110 for Mer­ryn fund

A TO­TAL of €1,100 was raised for five-year-old Mer­ryn Lacy at a fundrais­ing night in the Hiber­nia last Fri­day in Bray.

The evening was ar­ranged by Pa­tri­cia O’Sul­li­van from Lit­tle Bray, who is a friend of Mer­ryn’s aunt.

Karaoke mae­stro Ger Fitz was there to raise money for Mer­ryn Lacy (5) who has a rare form of cancer called neu­rob­las­toma. Singers on the night made a do­na­tion to the cause.

The night also in­cluded a head shave and spe­cial cock­tails at €5 with pro­ceeds do­nated to the fund as well as a raf­fle. Mer­ryn will be the mas­cot at the Bray Wan­der­ers v Derry City game this Fri­day at 5p.m. It will be a di­vided house­hold with Mer­ryn’s dad Mick from Bray and her mum from Derry!

A ‘Drag Night’ for Mer­ryn Lacy will be on in the Es­planade Ho­tel in Bray on April 19 at 8.30 p.m. LGBT Loud and Proud Bray is or­gan­is­ing the night which will star ‘Sharon Curly.’
