Karaoke night realises €1,110 for Merryn fund

-

A TOTAL of €1,100 was raised for five-year-old Merryn Lacy at a fundraising night in the Hibernia last Friday in Bray.

The evening was arranged by Patricia O’Sullivan from Little Bray, who is a friend of Merryn’s aunt.

Karaoke maestro Ger Fitz was there to raise money for Merryn Lacy (5) who has a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma. Singers on the night made a donation to the cause.

The night also included a head shave and special cocktails at €5 with proceeds donated to the fund as well as a raffle. Merryn will be the mascot at the Bray Wanderers v Derry City game this Friday at 5p.m. It will be a divided household with Merryn’s dad Mick from Bray and her mum from Derry!

A ‘Drag Night’ for Merryn Lacy will be on in the Esplanade Hotel in Bray on April 19 at 8.30 p.m. LGBT Loud and Proud Bray is organising the night which will star ‘Sharon Curly.’

Admission is €10 per person. For tickets contact Stephen McGuire on (085) 1676090, Aaron Kenny on (085) 1373931 or Lee Donnelly on (085) 1375033.
