Network meeting for women in business

-

THE WICKLOW County Enterprise Board’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women held their April meeting at the Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy.

The event was attended by 34 businesswomen from across the county, with sales being the primary area for discussion over the course of the event.

‘Sales for the Non-Sales Person’ examined the psychology behind the negative connotations so often evoked by the word sales as well as the impact that this can have on the ability to sell.

Speaking on this topic was Kieran Strong of Strong Training, a company that specialises in assisting businesses with issues such as sales management. Kieran discussed hos businesses should shift their sales’ approach from ‘selling’ to ‘ helping the customer to buy’ by using a few simple techniques to help maximise sales success. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network over refreshments after the talk.

The network was set up with the intention of helping women across Wicklow succeed in business. Their next meeting takes place in the same venue on Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. and anyone looking for more information about the network can contact the co-ordinator Serena Bryans at woemninbusiness@wicklowceb.ie
