The West’s awake after Minor B decider

ON FRIDAY the final of the Minor B hurling for first and second years was held in Dunlavin where victory went to West Wicklow schools over Colaiste Chill Mhantain.
The Wicklow town school had qualified for the final earlier in the week when coming from a half time deficit of 8 points to overcome the holders

REFEREE: Laim Keenan (Aughrim) Arklow Schools by 7-8 to 3-8. However there was no comeback in the final.
The impressive West side led by 3-6 to 0-6 at half time and went on to win by 5-15 to 2-4. They will now play Colaiste Bhride Carnew in the A final.
This was an impressive performance by West Wicklow with Conor Deering, Aaron Byrne, Conal Byrne and M J Moran starring. Best for Chill Mhantain were Mark Nicholson, Cian Staunton, and Paddy Moorehouse.
Scores for the winners were Aaron Byrne 1-6, Conor Deering and M J Moran 1-2 each, Conal Byrne 0-5, Hugo Zieg and Oisin Sinnott 1-0 each. CCM scorers were Paddy Moorehouse 1-2, Cian Staunton 1-1, Mikey Griffin 0-1.
