Regrettably the County Board has deferred the draw for two weeks and the first draw will now be on Friday April 25. We apologise to anyone who has purchased and was expecting the draw to take place Friday night but this decision was unfortunately one we had no control over.

DONARD-THE GLEN

Our Seniors were the only ones in action last week, they played An Tochar in Roundwood last week.

Our lads got a great start right after the throw in a high ball dropped into Pat Flynn who took it down and fed Des Mann who then rattled the net, the same play a few months later resulted in Des getting a point.

We held our own for remainder of first half and were only a point behind at half time, however in the second half our young team with seven juniors on board just didn't have the power or experience of the home team and we're eventually bet by seven points. Team: Jim Corrigan, Kevin Osbourne, Alan Tutty, Ronan Conron, Eoin Kelly, John Hanbidge, Bill Flynn, George Finlay, Brian Lennon, Alan Daly, Harry Mangan, Darren O'Neill, Des Mann, Pat Flynn, Jack Graham. Subs: Gerry Daly, Moynihan, Colm O'Neill.

Kilbride GAA Launch Evening was held on Saturday, April 12 from 6.30-9pm in the hall in Kilbride. Food and refreshments were served from sandwiches and cupcakes to Easter eggs and sweets (let's hope our players didn't over indulge!).

There was a great turn out of young and old alike which was great to see. Our strategic fiveyear plan was printed and bound and given to everyone who attended, now that we are all on the one page. Let's push on and make this plan a reality.

We are currently looking for juvenile coaches for ages under-8s to under-12s both male and female, if you have any interest in this please contact Lorcan Clarke on 085-1219449.

Our men's team played Ballymanus on Sunday morning in a challenge match and although they are a division ahead of us we were trailing by a solitary point at halftime 0-7 to 0-6, in the second half we stuck with them as best we could but they ran out eventual winners on a score line of 0-10 to 0-16.

The Kilbride GAA jackpot lotto was not won, the numbers drawn were 13, 16, 22, and 26.

Our €20 weekly winners were David Cummins, Noel Kinsella, Pat Donohoe, Katie Bealin and Larry O'Connor Jnr.. Our next draw is on Sunday April 13 and will stand at €3,900.

KNOCKANANNA

No winner of the lotto jackpot this week. Numbers drawn were 1, 06, 10, and 26. There was one match three winner - Holly Timmins €100. Sellers prize winner was The Wagon Wheel.

Next week's jackpot stands at €15,900. Tickets on sale in the Wagons, Jacob's, Byrne's shop, The Corner House, Boland's, and Sean Murphy's Butchers.

Knockananna played Shillelagh last Tuesday night in Shillelagh and turned in a brilliant performance, despite having only 15 players to choose from. We won 1-12 to 1-06.

This is where the black card rule will destroy small clubs, imagine one black card last week and we were up the creek.

The game itself was very open with Shillelagh creating a lot of space in their forward line but Tristan Maher was alert to this, cutting off a lot of ball and Alan Humphries winning anything in the air.

Our forwards were winning their own ball and scoring some great points.

Its great to see Padraig Lancaster back playing again after a serious injury and he was superb throughout, great fielding, great runs and two tasty points.

Scorers: Kevin Tyrrell 4 pts, Damo Byrne 1-02, Patrick O Keeffe 1pt Paudge Lancaster 2pts, Gary Bradley 1pt, Ed Bracken 1 pt and John Paul 1 pt
