‘Chemical smell’ off Bray tap water

RESIDENT GETS EXPLANATION FROM COUNCIL

A BRAY resident complaining of strange tasting water said that other homes in the Sans Souci Wood estate were affected.

The man, who lives in the Vevay Road area, wrote to Bray Town Council last week informing them that there was a chemical smell and taste from the tap water.

However he said that the officials came back to him very quickly. ‘I got a response within half an hour of sending the email,’ he said.

‘ They explained that the solution being used was too strong and over-concentrated.’ He added that while there was still a bit of a taste it will take a little time for the water to return to normal.

‘Our drinking water is normally excellent,’ he said.

‘I have checked with a number of neighbours and they all had the same issue.’
