Charity cycle in aid of Laura Lynn Hospice

A CYCLE for Laura Lynn children’s hospice and Newcastle Community Centre will take place from the village on Saturday May 10. There will be two distances of 50km and 80km. ‘Anyone interested in helping out would be greatly appreciated. Laura Lynn is Ireland's only children's Hospice and receives no state funding,’ said a spokesman. ‘ The community centre is a great amenity to our village and offers a range of activities such as ladies keep fit, badminton, girl guides, table tennis , judo starting again soon, children's ballet , country market, coffee mornings and is regularly used for children's parties.’

The cycle will start at 10 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m.
