The number of county Wicklow properties that will go under the hammer at the next Allsop Space auction in May

SEVEN COUNTY Wicklow properties will be auctioned off at the Allsop Space auction in Dublin next month.

In total 224 residential and commercial properties will go under the hammer at the auction in the RDS on May 2 which is an increase of 20 per cent on the recent February Allsop auction.

The reserve total of the properties is €37 million.

The Wicklow properties up for grabs at the auction include properties on Southern Cross, Bray; Wexford Road, Arklow; Grosvenor Park, Bray; Chaney Court, Rathnew; Stephen Street, Dunlavin; Kilgarron Park, Enniskerry and Church Road, Greystones.

The most expensive County Wicklow property is six retail units and eight duplex apartments at Bentley Court, Wexford Road, Arklow which has a reserve price of between €725,000 and €775,000. A detected warehouse in Dunlavin is the cheapest on offer with a reserve of between €30,000 and €40,000.

Robert Hoban, Director of Auctions with Allsop Space said that not all the properties up for sale are distressed properties

'It is important to point out that while it is correct that a number of the investment properties for auction are at the request of receivers, an ever increasing number of people who are not in a distressed property situation are using our auctions model. They simply want to obtain the best possible price in an open, transparent, accountable and swift manner.'

Mr. Hoban also reiterated the Allsop Space guarantee that they would not sell any repossessed family homes or any property that is subject to a legal dispute.
