Daire Nolan
DAIRE NOLAN is an Independent candidate standing in the Wicklow County Council Local Elections, 2014. He will be standing in the East Wicklow district. A native of Newtownmountkennedy, Daire is very active in his local community. An avid supporter of the local sports clubs, particularly Newtown GAA Club. A lifelong member of the club, he was secretary of Newtown GAA from 2010-2011, PRO from 2009-2012 and remains an active committee member of Newtown GAA.
Daire is also a member of the Newtownmountkennedy Community Centre Committee and volunteers his time to help the Community Centre. Daire attended secondary school in Coláiste Raithín, Bray, and as such is a fluent Irish speaker. Aged 25, Daire is the youngest candidate standing in the Local Elections in Wicklow. He hopes that he will be able to breathe new life into Wicklow County Council. If Daire is honoured to be elected as your Independent County Councillor, he will work hard to promote job creation in Wicklow, ensure that roads and paths are well maintained and will assist people with issues (such as planning) that are important to them.
