Health centre is opened
April 1994
IRELAND’S highest health centre won the highest of praise this week when Minister for Health Brendan Howlin visited Co. Wicklow for its official opening.
The health centre, in Roundwood village, was described by the Minister as a fine example of what could be achieved within a modest budget. He said the centre, and others like it, would be to the fore of his policy of developing and improving health care at community level.
During the ceremony, the centre was officially dedicated to the memory of the late Wicklow County Councillor Frank Hynes.
