€200 fine

A MAN was fined €200 even though he was certain he was wearing his seatbelt.

Trevor Kinlan (34), 33 Silverpines, appeared in Bray District Court last Thursday.

Garda Andrew Sullivan said that he saw the car going southbound on the N11 on June 4 at 3.20 p.m.

He said he was positive that Kinlan was not wearing a seatbelt.

Judge David Kennedy accepted the garda’s evidence and handed down the fine.
