Good battles in Division 4 West

Div 4 West - Dunlavin 1-9; Kiltegan 1-7 DUNLAVIN got their first win in Division 4 West at Kiltegan on Thursday.

The Kildare border side picked up their first brace of points with a narrow win after a great battle. They led by 05 to 0-3 at half time and a goal by Dermot Deegan early in the second half sent them on their way

Dunlavin - Dermot Deegan 1-2; Timmy Metcalfe 0-3; Ciaran Tackaberry, Vincent Byrne, Brandan O'Rourke and Dermot O'Rourke 0-1 each. Kiltegan - John Keogh 1-1; James Doyle 0-2; Darren Hobson, Mark Ryan, Darren Nolan, and Colm O'Connor 0-1 each. Stratford/Grangecon 3-7; Valleymoun­t 4-4 A late goal by John O'Sullivan helped Vallymount the squeeze out a draw with Stratford/Grangecon at Valleymoun­t. 'Red' David Miley was gop scorer with 2-2; while the other scorers for the home side were - Adam Conlon 1-1 and Adrian Miley 0-1;

Paddy McKetrick was top scorer for Stratford-Grangecon with 2-2; Ciaran Byrne getting the other goal and Sean O'Neill, James Whelan, Matt Manley, and Dermot Phelan shared the points. Lacken - 2-8; Donard-The Glen 0-11 Lacken just about survived in a hard enough battle at Donard where the young home side put up stiff resistance for most of the way. Dean Mann was top scorer for Donardthe Glen with 0-7; Colm O'Neill, Jack Graham, Gerry Daly and Steven Donoghue scored 0-1 each
