Char­lie Bishop Cup spots go­ing

FOUR­TEEN of the Char­lie Bishop Cup places have al­ready been snapped up for next sea­son.

Bizarrely, the hold­ers may not be able to de­fend their crown next sea­son should it be Glen­cor­mac United that lift the tro­phy on Satur­day, May 17, as they’re lan­guish­ing in sev­enth spot in Di­vi­sion 2 and fourth spot is be­yond them.

Ark­low Town will be hop­ing that it is them cel­e­brat­ing in the Carlisle Grounds on the 17 th of May and they will be back again next sea­son, along­side Rath­new AFC A, New­town United A and Wick­low Town of the Andy McEvoy Pre­mier 1.

Pat O’Toole Di­vi­sion 2’s rep­re­sen­ta­tives will be St. Patrick’s, Rath­new AFC B, Celtic Stars and ei­ther Seav­iew Wan­der­ers or New­town United B.

The Rath­new link continues in Di­vi­sion 3 North, from which the Vil­lagers, Fas­saroe YC, Sham­rock Celtic and one of Red­bank United, Wick­low Town B, Bal­ly­waltrim FC or St. Fer­gal’s AFC B will go for­ward.

Di­vi­sion 3 South’s quar­ter has al­ready been de­cided and they are Carnew United, Avon­more FC, Conary United and FC Laragh.

The Char­lie Bishop Cup fi­nal will be con­tested by Ark­low Town and Glen­cor­mac United and will take place at the home of Bray Wan­der­ers - the Carlisle Grounds, on Satur­day, May 17.
