IT'S EARLY morning on the Square and the police arrive to share some urgent news with Ian and Peter. They explain that Lucy's 'mugging' was staged and she was actually murdered - possibly by someone she knew. As this information has already leaked, the shock development is all over the news.

The police have also discovered that Lucy was having secret trysts with someone before her death, and that person could well be the killer. Ian and Peter take this lead and start interrogating the Walford residents themselves, starting with David Wicks. However, David has a theory of his own as he is suspicious of Max's strange behaviour. Confronting Max, David asks whether he killed Lucy.

Meanwhile, Peter and Lauren are shocked when they see how many secrets Lucy has been hiding from them. They start to realise that they didn't really know her at all.
