Club Executive - The next meeting of the Executive is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14 at 8pm in the County GAA board room. This meeting was rescheduled from the 7th due to Ladies Leinster League final.
Senior Ladies - AGB Senior Ladies contested the Senior final of the Leinster Senior League for the second year in a row on the May 7 against Sarsfields (Laois).
Unfortunately this was not to be their day as combined with coming up against a very efficient Laois team the Arklow side also failed to convert their chances particularly in the first half. The final score was AGB 2-9 to Sarsfields 3-19.
The Senior ladies were out again on Sunday the 11th against Baltinglass in the league.
Junior Men - The Junior men played Round 4 of the football league Division 4 on Thursday, May 8. The opposition, Barndarrig, had no answer to the barrage of scorers on the night.
Next game is Thursday, May 15 against Avoca at 7.30pm in Avoca.
Under-12 Division 3 Girls - The under-12 Division 3 girls were out on Thursday the 8th against Carnew.
The girls put in a blistering performance. AGB were first to score and the girls led by seven points at half time.
Carnew closed the gap to one point late in the game but AGB answered with a fantastic goal to settle the game. The only way is up for this team as nine of the team playing were under-10. It was a great all round performance from every single one of the girls. Well done girls - you've made your parents and coaches very proud!
Under-14 Division 1 Girls - AGB under-14s travelled to Wicklow for a league game versus St. Pat's last Thursday and everyone present was treated to another cracking game between two of the best teams in their age group.
Anyone present at the Feile final between these teams will think it was Deja-vu as AGB settled quicker and dominated the first period to lead by a point at the break.
We also saw two goalbound shots strike the upright once again and came up against a goalkeeper who played well again.
St. Pat's came back strong in the second period and pinned the girls back eventually running out winners by three points (St. Pat's 2-6 to AGB 1-6). Under-14 Boys - Hard luck to the under-14 boys who were beaten by a dominant St. Kevin's side in Round 3 of the Division 1B football league on Friday, May 9. Final score St. Kevin's 5-12 to AGB 103.
Senior Men - Round 5 of the Football Division 2 League was played on Saturday. AGB took on Coolboy at home with AGB recording this league victory. Final score AGB 3-11 Coolboy 2-6. Next Senior fixture is on May 25 when the men take on Blessington in the preliminary round of the SFC.
Under-10 Boys - The under-10 boys had no games this week. However plenty of newly registered players joined up with the group during the week. Great to see some familiar faces rejoining the group and also some new faces. New players are always welcome to join us. All the boys are looking forward to the next home blitz on May 24.
Boy's Schools Final - Some of our AGB boys are also out on the 7th with their Gaelcholaiste teammates in another final.
The boys took on Baltinglass in the school's final in Ballinakill, Rathdrum. The Gaelcholaiste took home the honours in a well contested match. Well done boys!
Wicklow under-16 Ladies - The Ladies Leinster under-16 Championship B final was played Sunday, May 11. Wicklow were up against Laois in Geraldine Park, Athy.
BALLYMANUS
The Intermediates chalked up a solid league win over Ballinacor last weekend in Tinahely.
Playing with a heavy win in our backs in the opening half, the lads were slow to get going, sloppy at times, going in at the break only a single point ahead, four points to three points.
The lads upped the ante in the second, held Ballinacor to two points and tacked on 1-3 themselves.
The final score was 1-7 to 0-05. There was no lotto jackpot winner for the draw held Monday, May 5. The numbers drawn were 3, 11, 22, and 23 with John Dillon, Willie Harmon, Cathal and Brendan Doyle, Louise Neary, and Martin Hennessy.
John and Michael O'Keeffe won the monthly sellers prize. Congrats to all involved in organising the table quiz in aid of the Askinagap Community Development Association.
CARNEW EMMETS
The club are holding a monster field day in June (date to be confirmed) and as part of this day we are running a novel fund raising drop off which will involve a representative from each team, i.e ladies football, camogie, underage etc. being dropped off in different undisclosed locations with no money or phone.
They will then have to find their way home. And to make it more exciting they will be dressed in unusual costumes. More information to follow, watch this space.
Anything the boy's of Carnew can do, the girls can match as the under-14 camogie girl's showed last week by qualifying for the Feile in the north of Ireland in June.
This is a fantastic achievement for a club just a few years old and is great reward for the massive work being done by all involved.
On the adult field of play the intermediate hurlers had an easy win over Arklow Rocks. Their match away to Eire Og was postponed on Monday night.
The Junior hurlers had a free week and are away to St. Pat's on Wednesday night.
The Senior footballers had a good win over Kiltegan on Tuesday night away.
Enda Donahue and Andrew Hughes were to the fore in a good team display. Our next game is at home to Rathnew next Tuesday.
The junior footballers hosted Avoca on Thursday night last in a busy week of matches. Top striker Chucky 'Suarez' House was on fire with 2-1 from play.
Hopefully Chucky will end the season with more silverware than the Liverpool striker (sorry Chucky? Couldn't help it).
The Astro turf committee are holding a table quiz on Friday, May 16. The money raised will go towards the repayments of this great facility which has fallen on hard times recently. Please come along and support if you can.
Finally, I would like to bring people's attention to something doing the rounds on Facebook called 'its time to talk about mental health'.
It was posted on YouTube by local girl, Lisa Turner, is a very brave way of raising awareness of the stigma associated with mental health in society. It is a must see for any young people or parents of teenagers. You can search for it on YouTube by typing in 'Life with Lissie'. Well done Lisa, you are an inspiration to us all!
TINAHELY
Last week on the playing field was quiet as both the Junior and Senior teams had no games. The Junior match against Coolkenno was postponed.

AUGHRIM
The Junior footballers dropped the first point in the league against Annacurra last week. As this match doubled as the Allen Cup semi-final, their will be a re-fixture for Allen Cup at a later date.
It's great to see so many young players playing with this team this year and we will no doubt be seeing them lying out for the intermediates very soon. The team is at home this Thursday against Tinahely.
The Aughrim Intermediates had another great win at home to Baltinglass on Saturday.
The lads battled a strong second half wind with particular praise having to be given to the full back line for a great performance. The match finished on a score line of 0-12 to 0-10.
All players are asked to be available for our game against Ballyfin (Laois) in the community field on Sunday at 11.30am.

We play Barrindarrig in the next game a home on Wednesday evening 7.15pm.
Our Senior football team were beaten by Carnew Emmets in the Senior football league in Kiltegan on Tuesday evening, the final score 1-11 to 1-6 again fielding a very under strength tem due to many reasons we were always chasing the game and Carnew ran out convincing winners, our scores came from Keith Furlong 1-4, Padraig Keogh 2pts. We play Rathnew in the next league match in the group.
Lotto -Numbers 04, 12, 24, and 25 - There were no jackpot winner and there were no match three. Next week's jackpot will now be €3,600.

Our ladies team played their first match in two years and played well with good performances from Michelle and Catriona Reneghan, Katherine Ward and Niamh Connolly.

DONARD-THE GLEN
Our Junior team were beaten by parish rivals Dunlavin in Donard on Thursday last.
This was another exciting game of football between two young sides. The wind was a factor here; it blew in Dunlavin's favour in the first half and was looking good for our lads at half time when the sides were level at three points each.
The wind changed in the second half and blew across the pitch. So, as well a losing our outstanding defender Kevin Osborne with an injury, and a less than 100% Darren O'Neil who was illegal taken out early in the game, we struggled in the second half.
Our lads battled hard till the final whistle and the Junior B side deserved to go home with full points. These lads are away to Vallymount on Thursday next at 7.30pm. And our Seniors are away to Coolkenno Saturday next in the league division 1.
The lotto is now worth 6,300. Last week Mrs Leigh. Bridget Steed, Lorraine Mann, and Aidoine Flynn matched three numbers.

Thanks to all the Juniors who togged out for us last Wednesday. Great two-point win over Kiltegan who offered a thrilling game.
