Corner House Golf Society
The Corner House Golf Society held their third outing of the year at Park Tullow Golf Course last Sunday.
The winners were as follows, overall winner on the day with 26 points was Charlie Monaghan, winner of class 1 was Jimmy Brauders with 24 points and winner of class 2 was Pat long with 22 points.
The society would like to thank Dermot Doyle and Pat Fitzgerald for their sponsorship on the day. Our next outing will take place on June 1 at Rahaspeck golf course with tee off at 9.30am.
Arklow Golf Club
Our second Industry Cup got under way on Saturday in wet and windy conditions.
The winning team was O' Toole Motors which consisted of Noel O Toole, Katriona O Riordan, Parkie Nolan and Patrick Nolan jnr who came in with 109pts.
In second place with a score of 107pts was the youthful Katie O'Hart and Shaun Tyrrell and the not so youthful Paddy Nolan and the Lady President.
In third place was the team of Smurfitt Cappa with the score of 102pts and the team of Noel O Byrne, Derek Tobin, Andrew Healy and Paric Mcgrath. The VC must be wondering what might have been if he hadn't played Powerscourt in the morning. A big thank you to the Lady Captain and everyone involved on a very successful day with over 30 teams involved.
Bridge Hotel Golf Society
Last week's competition was the Jim Russell Memorial Trophy held at Potters Point Golf Club.
First net was won by Roy Brauders with 33 points.
Second net: Jimmy Russell with 31 points; Front nine: Martin Stokes 15 points; Back nine: Jim Hoey 18 points; Nearest the pin: Billy O'Brien; Longest drive: John Huzzar; Birdie hole: John Gilbert.
Sincere thanks is extended to the Russell family for their continued support and for putting up such fantastic prizes.
Next Saturday's competition will be held at Blackwater Club with tee off 11am. Best of luck to the society members travelling on the outing to Aberystwyth in Wales.

Baltinglass Golf Club
Saturday and Sunday proved very difficult days to play golf with several heavy thunder showers and very blustery conditions.
Playing early Sunday morning was the secret for John Corrigan who had a 70 nett to win the prestigious Artillery Trophy.
Derek Byrne and Paul Allen both had 71 to finish second and third respectively.
The Men's Section hosted a presentation evening on Saturday last; thank you to all who attended and well done to all the winners.

Our thanks to Scoil Chonglais who hosted their annual golf classic on Friday last in the club. Special mention to Tom and Dorothy Fox and CP Byrne for their hard work in making the event a wonderful success.
Team News - Congratulations to both the U-15 team and Barton Cup teams who had great wins over the last week. Our U-15 team played Craddockstown last Monday at home; it was great to see the future of the club doing so well. Our Barton team had a fantastic match with Woodenbridge on Sunday evening. Well done to the lads for winning the odd match in Woodenbridge.
