Despite the bad weather Giro d'Newcastle in aid of the community centre and The Laura Lynn Foundation took place on 10th May.

As the weather was so bad all the entertainment was moved upstairs above the Castle Inn in the Rooks Tower. Despite this there was a great atmosphere and plenty of fun had. The grand total raised will be announced soon.

The organisers would like to express a big thanks to all who braved the elements and took part in the cycle. Well done to you all.Also there has to be a big thanks to all the entertainers. LEAGUE 2 PLAY OFF

Barry Corr born and raised in the village took place in the league 2 play off semi final on Sunday the 11th May. Unfortunately the shrimpers lost 1-0 nil. The second leg takes place on Sat 17th May. Barry has had a fantastic end to the season scoring his 13th goal of the season last week against Burton in the league. TRANSFORMATION FITNESS
