Another busy weekend ahead for Snow White cast
THERE was plenty of colour and laughter at St Patrick’s School in Bray this week as the first performances of Bray Musical Society’s Pantomime ‘Snow White’ took place over the weekend.
This is the society’s fifth annual panto and it’s going from strength to strength each year and seeing bigger crowds. ‘ The first four shows have gone extremely well,’ said Cecily Napier speaking on behalf of the society. ‘We’ve had big crowds in each night and tickets for this weekend are selling fast. I think we’re nearly sold out of tickets for Friday and Sunday’s performances already.’
A cast of more than 30 people are taking part in the production and have been extremely busy rehearsing since late August. ‘It takes a lot of commitment alright,’ said Cecily. ‘ They would rehearse at least twice a week in the build up to it and they’ve all done a great job.’
Isabella Vance and Stephen Cavill will play Snow White and Prince Frederik, and both are quite new to the group, proving that there is a place for new members in the cast too.
The group are always looking for new members as they’ve got a busy year ahead with casting for their annual musical beginning shortly after the Panto’s run ends. They also host an annual concert and compete in a choir competition each year.
