-

A Waterford woman is due back before Bray District Court charged with stealing seven bottles of perfume and four tracksuits from the Bridgewater Centre in Arklow.

Martina Noblett, 155 Clonard Park, Ballybeg, Waterford is accused of stealing the bottles of perfume from Hickey’s Pharmacy on September 6 2013. Four tracksuits worth €273 in all were also stolen from a sports shop located in the Bridgewater.

All the stolen items were found on a third person and recovered. The court heard that Noblett was accompanied by two other people during the thefts.

Judge William Early was also informed that the defendant had only recently given birth to a baby but the child had remained in hospital for the past 10 weeks due to complications from the birth. The gardaí had no objections to bail.

Noblett was remanded on her own bond of €200 and ordered to appear before Arklow District Court on December 10.
