Seomra Bray receives funding

-

SEOMRA Youth Centre in Bray is among three Wicklow groups to be allocated funding under the Capital Grants for Youth Projects.

A total of €19,000 was allocated to projects in county Wicklow, including Wicklow Travellers Group, Seomra Bray and Ballywaltrim Community Centre and the money allocated will allow them to improve their facilities and the equipment available for their work with young people in the local community.

The announcement was welcomed by Fine Gael TD Andrew Doyle, who praised the groups for their hard work.

‘Fundraising and voluntary dedication keeps a lot of these groups going so this much-needed funding will provide assistance to these organisations who do such vital work in some of the more disadvantaged communities in our society,’ he said.

The Capital funding scheme for small to medium capital grants is to remain open to applications from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs until early 2015 for capital projects related to health and safety improvements to premises.
