CHRISTMAS STABLES Powerscourt Garden Pavilion Stables 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults and children of all ages are welcome to pay a visit the stables, which is free of charge.

LAKESHORE WONDERLAND Avon Ri, Blessington 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission for children (one adult goes free, additional adults pay €5) is €18 and includes a visit to Santa, a gift and hot chocolate and full access to Santa’s Lakeshore Wonderland. CHRISTMAS TASTES, THEMES AND TOURS Russborough House 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Tickets: €10.

CHRISTMAS ISLAND Hidden Valley Holiday Park 1 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. Tickets, which must be booked in advance at www.christmasisland.ie, cost €15 per child and €12 per adult.

MULLED WINE AND MINCE PIES Church of Our Lady, Blessington 8 p.m. All parish volunteers are invited to Church of Our Lady for mulled wine and minced pies. The social gathering is open to all members of the local parish.
