VANCE TELLS BRADY HE IS ‘LEADING PEOPLE ASTRAY’

A WAR of words broke out across the Wicklow County Council chamber on Monday between Councillors Pat Vance and John Brady.

Cllr Vance made the remark that Cllr Brady thinks that ‘ he is the only one who is interested in a fulltime fire service for Bray’ and said that the first proposal of this type came in the 1990s from Cllr Joe Behan which he supported.

‘You’ve been very quiet since then haven’t you?’ was Cllr Brady’s response.

Cllr Vance said that none of the councillors made any proposals to put aside any of the €3.5m taken out of the Property Tax fund to put towards providing this service.

He said Cllr Brady was ‘ leading people astray’.
