The play­off for the over­all Win­ter League ti­tle was played Satur­day. George Bradley won the ‘Frank Hunt Per­pet­ual Cup’ when he scored a mag­nif­i­cent 36pts over the 14 hole lay­out.

The win­ners in the Win­ter League are as fol­lows - 1st: George Bradley (15) 36pts; 2nd: Michael Cam­pion (9) 31pts; 3rd: David Whe­lan (5) 31pts; 4th: Derek Byrne (5) 30pts; 5th: Bryan Kil­coyne (13) 30pts; 6th : Ned Cremin (12) 30pts; 7th: Tom Whe­lan (20) 29pts; 8th: Michael O’Neill (12) 29pts.

The win­ter league was very well sup­ported with over 550 en­tries over the seven weeks. There were 68 vouch­ers given out to 43 dif­fer­ent win­ners.

The Men’s Sec­tion hosted a very well at­tended Pre­sen­ta­tion Night Satur­day evening which was pre­ceded by the an­nual mass for the de­ceased mem­bers.

Prizes for many com­pe­ti­tions were pre­sented, which in­cluded the Au­tumn Medal the weekly win­ners in the Win­ter League, the Bank hol­i­day Open 3 Per­son Team event and the over­all win­ners in the Win­ter League. Thank you to ev­ery­one who made the ef­fort! There was also a spe­cial award to the vic­to­ri­ous Le­in­ster Ju­nior Four­somes win­ning panel for their out­stand­ing achieve­ment dur­ing the year.

On Sun­day evening our Club Cap­tain chaired the Club A.G.M.

In his speech Sean O’Con­nor spoke of the great hon­our in hold­ing the of­fice of Cap­tain, and was very grate­ful to ev­ery­one for their support.

The high­lights of the year for him were his Cap­tains Prize week­ends, and the Ju­nior Four­somes team win­ning the Le­in­ster fi­nal in Naas. The Cap­tain was also very thank­ful to the many vol­un­teers who helped around the Club and the very gen­er­ous weekly spon­sors for their con­tin­u­ous support to the Club.

Tom O’Neill PGA Pro­fes­sional and the Ju­ve­nile com­mit­tee were com­pli­mented for their great work with our vi­brant ju­ve­nile sec­tion. The Course staff came in for spe­cial men­tion for the high qual­ity and the up­keep of the course.

He was very grate­ful to the Club Of­fi­cers Jim Mur­ray and Tom Han­nafin for their time, ded­i­ca­tion and com­mit­ment to our club.

Our Club Trea­surer Tom pre­sented a very de­tailed set of ac­counts to the meet­ing, with our Club Sec­re­tary Jim pre­sent­ing his re­port for the year.

In clos­ing the meet­ing Sean pre­sented the in­com­ing Cap­tain, Peter Byrne, with his Cap­tains Blazer for 2015 and as­sured Peter of his support through­out the year.
