HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

St. Vincent de Paul So­ci­ety An­nual In­door Col­lec­tion: This col­lec­tion will re­place the SHARE col­lec­tion at all this week­end’s Masses.

Christ­mas Carol Ser­vice: Sun­day De­cem­ber 21st at 7pm.

Christ­mas Mass Times: Christ­mas Eve–6pm; 8pm, and 9.30pm. Please note that the 6pm Mass has Em­pha­sis on fam­i­lies with young chil­dren. Christ­mas Day– 9am, 10.30am, and 12 Noon. No Evening Mass.

New Year’s Eve Mid­night Mass in Church of the Most Holy Redeemer: You are in­vited to place the ‘ New Year ‘ un­der the pa­tron­age of the Lord on Wed­nes­day De­cem­ber 31st 2014 at 11.30pm.

Greet­ings from Fr. Enda: This week I will re­turn to Holy Redeemer Parish after a pe­riod of sab­bat­i­cal leave. I re­turned early from Chile and am presently in­volved in a short course of stud­ies. I look for­ward very much to meet­ing you all this week­end as we pre­pare for Christ­mas. Fr.Enda.

Holy Hour of Ado­ra­tion from 9pm to 10pm: You are in­vited to spend an Hour with the Lord with mu­sic, pe­ri­ods of si­lence and guided prayers of thanks­giv­ing and heal­ing this Wed­nes­day, next Wed­nes­day and Tues­day De­cem­ber 23rd.

The Parish Christ­mas Carol Con­cert: Takes place on Satur­day 20th De­cem­ber at 7.45pm. You are in­vited to bring a gift to be placed un­der the Christ­mas tree which will be dis­trib­uted by the Women’s Refuge Cen­tre and the lo­cal St. Vincent de Paul con­fer­ence of St. Clare.

So­ci­ety of St. Vincent de Paul Dioce­san Church Col­lec­tion: Takes place this week­end. This will re­place the Share col­lec­tion. A good re­sponse to the col­lec­tion is needed more than ever this year.

St. Vincent de Paul So­ci­ety: A spe­cial col­lec­tion of non-per­ish­able foods for the St. Vincent de Paul So­ci­ety will take place this week­end. Do­na­tions can be left in the boxes in the Villa Pacis or brought to the Church this week­end. Your support is greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.

QOP YOUTH CLUB

The Queen of Peace ad­ven­ture Youth Club Christ­mas Party will be on Fri­day next. The club will be closed un­ti­lafter the fes­tive hol­i­day. Dur­ing the break the com­mit­tee will meet to re­view apro­posed pro­gramme for next year. This will be pre­sented to the mem­bers at the­first club ses­sion in Jan­uary when items may be added on or deleted. Thecom­mit­tee aim to elim­i­nate the wait­ing list in the New Year.

DIV­ING CLUB

Bray Divers had a su­per div­ingtrip at Lough Derg and Portroe slate quarry. The weather was in­cred­i­bly good,and the quarry wa­ter was com­pletely clear down to fif­teen me­tres. Deep­est di­ve­was 26 me­tres. Divers in­cluded were Ann, Tracey, Bren­dan, Jack, Louis, and Al­bert.This was the first time that Tracey and Louis had dives at this venue, and they­look for­ward with en­thu­si­asm to a re­turn visit.

CUALANN SO­CI­ETY

Mem­bers of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray and North Wick­low, are in­vited to at­tend to­mor­row night’s meet­ing of the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety at 8.30pm in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel, at which James Scannell will present his lec­ture ‘ Christ­mas 1914 in Co. Wick­low ‘. All wel­come to at­tend– ad­mis­sion €3.

On Fri­day De­cem­ber 19th , James Scannell, Vice-Chair­man and PRO of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety will present a spe­cial lec­ture ‘ Christ­mas in Bray 100 Years Ago (1914) ‘ at 11.30am in Bray Li­brary, Eglin­ton Road, Bray. Ad­mis­sion free–all wel­come. This is the fi­nal lec­ture in the So­ci­ety’s 2014 pro­gramme of lec­tures.
