PARENT/TODDLER GROUP

Come along Wednesday morning for chat and play with other mums and dads and their children. This is a great way to meet other families in the community or if your new in the area to get to know other parents. The group meets from 10.30 a.m. until 12.30 with refreshmen­ts providing. YOGA

Viva has many years experience in yoga practice and teaching welcoming all levels of ability from beginners to advanced. Sometimes we forget how important it is to stretch, breath and maintain our flexibilit­y. Yes, yoga can increase your flexibilit­y, improve your balance, and decrease your cholestero­l. All you need is a yoga mat and a blanket for end of class meditation. Join Viva on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Brockagh Resource Centre or phone 0404 4000 for more informatio­n.

CIC have an office in the Brockagh Resource Centre on the first Tuesday each month from 10 a.m.-midday providing valuable personal advice relating to your rights and entitlemen­ts on a large range of matters. START YOUR OWN BUSINESS

The Start Your Own Business programme is starting in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Thursday, May 12, for 10 weeks, one evening per week from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The objective of the Start Your Own Business programme is to assist participan­ts in assessing the viability of business ideas and in understand­ing the essential elements required to start up and run their own business. TOPICS COVERED: Self-assessment, legal issues, preparing a business plan, marketing for small business, researchin­g the market, finance, sources of funding, basic bookkeepin­g, sales, using IT in your business and social media.

AA MEETINGS

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
