Works are delayed

THE Department of the Environment still has not provided approval for a further energy efficiency works at the Oldcourt Estate.

‘All we can do is continue to keep up pressure on the department but this continues to be a safety issue,’ said Cllr Joe Behan.

Two phases of an energy efficiency scheme have been completed with no confirmation about a further phase. Administrative Officer Triona Irving said that officials continue to correspond with the xepartment. She said that she was meeting the Director of Housing last week and Oldcourt was on the list for discussion.
