Angela Rippon nursed her mother in the years before her death, so the presenter has insight into what might become of her should she also be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

This investigation is personal, and it is courageous of her to put herself through a battery of tests knowing that the results will be broadcast.

Regardless, she learns how best to take care of her brain and finds that some mice in America might hold at least part of the answer.

She also visits people living with dementia on a daily basis.
