The third outing of the Plucks Golf Society for the Presidents Prize took place in Naas Golf Club last Saturday. This outing was kindly sponsored by Gerry and Miriam Tuohy of the Lawnmower and Hire Centre in Kilcroney and what an effort they put in for the members.

From Bobble Hats (for the colder days), food on the 10th hole (plus a shot of whiskey which was greatly appreciated) but the bottle of beer with Gerry’s face on the label was probably pushing it to far as no one wants to look at Gerry when they are playing golf and having a beer.

The presidents prize was won by Tom Creavin who scored 38 points and he just pipped Mick Holly who also scored 38 points but was pipped on a back six countback while third place went to Chris Kit O’Neill (37 points). Category One winner was Colm Griffith (35 points), Category two was Liam Finnerty (34 points) and Category three winner was Jim Messitt (36 points).

The Front nine Prize was won by John Lyster and the Back nine Prize went to Paddy Byrne (Snr). The society would like to thank Gerry and Miriam for a wonderful day and also Helen and Nick of Plucks for the ‘Goodie Bags’ which were greatly appreciated.
