Sum­mer Fete: The Christ Church, Bray, Sum­mer Fete will take place in the church grounds on Satur­day, June 11, from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and is a great fun filled fam­ily event. There will be a ter­rific ar­ray of stalls to chose items from so make a point of call­ing into this event dur­ing the morn­ing as you never know what you might find.

Church Gate Col­lec­tion – St Vin­cent de Paul: A Church gate col­lec­tion will take place this week­end in aid of our lo­cal con­fer­ence of St Vin­cent de Paul. Your sup­port is greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.

Prayer In­ten­tion Book: A prayer in­ten­tion book for stu­dents sit­ting ex­ams has been placed in front of the Ambo for any­one who would like a stu­dent re­mem­bered.

Ceme­tery Sun­day: The Spring­field Ceme­tery Mass of Re­mem­brance and Bless­ing of the Graves will take place on Sun­day, June 19, at 2.30 p.m.

Lour­des 2016: Our an­nual Lour­des pil­grim­age will take place from Septem­ber 7 to Septem­ber 12. Book­ing through the Parish Of­fice Mon­day, Tues­day, Thurs­day and Fri­day morn­ings only. Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club mem­bers con­tinue with wa­ter sports on Tues­days till the end of Septem­ber. A climb in Glen­dalough had fifteen par­tic­i­pat­ing. The over 14 age group car­ried out a cleanup of the club boathouse. In June there will be a climb on Snow­don Moun­tain in Wales. Fol­low­ing lec­tures and pool train­ing Bray Divers Sub-Aqua Club new trainee snorkel­ers took to the sea at Grey­stones. Train­ing in­cluded snorkel tech­nique, tow­ing, res­cue, finning with masks, and finning with­out masks. Fa­cil­i­ta­tors were Ger Kennedy, Lauren Hether­ing­ton, and Al­bert Kerr. Trainees in­cluded Max Keat­ing, Nathan Nolan, Fionn Brien, Ryan Fe­gan, and Alex Bar­coe. Ev­ery­one en­joyed the oc­ca­sion, and all are look­ing for­ward to the next ses­sion. The club wel­comes new mem­ber Oisin Brady. Oisins Dad Jon is a diver who dived many times with the club.

Bray Library hosts two Book Clubs: The Fam­ily Book Club ages eight – 12 and par­ents, meets on a Satur­day at 2.45 p.m.; The Adult Book Club meets on a Wed­nes­day at 11 a.m. Please ask the library staff for the next meet­ing date of each of these groups. Bray Library in as­so­ci­a­tion with Sun­beam House, are host­ing a se­ries of six 60-minute lo­cal his­tory talks at 2 p.m. on con­sec­u­tive Fri­days deal­ing with as­pects of Bray and County Wick­low his­tory, pre­sented by lo­cal his­to­ri­ans Brian White and James Scan­nell from the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety.

The se­ries con­tin­ues con­cludes this Fri­day with ‘From Grand Jury to County Coun­cil: Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment in County Wick­low’, pre­sented by James Scan­nell. All are wel­come and ad­mis­sion is free.
