Round­wood Parish Ac­tive Re­tire­ment will be tak­ing a day trip to the Marigold Fes­ti­val Se­ries in Castle­town House, Cel­bridge to cel­e­brate Blooms­day on Thurs­day, June 16, leav­ing the Round­wood Inn at 9 a.m. and ar­riv­ing back to the Round­wood Inn for din­ner at 5.30 p.m. ap­prox­i­mately. The cost for the trip will be in or around €30. If you are in­ter­ested or would like more in­for­ma­tion please con­tact Betty at 01 2818703.


Clare Sally and Pamela Byrne were vic­tors in the fi­nal com­pe­ti­tion of the sea­son sec­ond were Mar­garet Byrne and Kay Plun­kett, third Clare O’Con­nor and Mar­garet Byrne and fourth Teresa Leahy and Mar­ion Davis.

Tri­ona and Gaye would like to thank all mem­bers and vis­i­tors for their con­tin­ued sup­port over the last year, with­out it we would not have a club so heres to a sunny sum­mer and see you all in Septem­ber.


In the fi­nal com­pe­ti­tion of this sea­son on Fri­day, May 27, Noeleen Red­mond and Maria Magee were first for North/South, sec­ond Mon­ica Brady and John Loscher and third Paddy O’Brien and Tri­ona Woodroofe. Tak­ing first place for East/West were Kitty Hes­lin and Mar­garet Byrne, sec­ond Miriam Coyle and Kay Plun­kett and third El­iz­a­beth Bel­ton and Philom­ena Kenna.

Many thanks to all mem­bers and vis­i­tors from Tri­ona and Gaye for an­other very suc­cess­ful year with­out you we would not have a club we will be back in Septem­ber hope­fully af­ter af­ter a very sunny sum­mer.

The Round­wood Hall is al­ways avail­able for all so­cial events, meet­ings, chil­dren’s par­ties, chris­ten­ings, work­shops, train­ing cour­ses etc. These great fa­cil­i­ties are now avail­able.
